Welcome back! This years conference is the 4th in a row and as every year our goal is to make it even better than the last one. Have a look at the YouTube video to see what the speakers said about AMOOCON 2009. It is a boutique conference where we create an environment to have a fair chance to actually speak to each speaker.

For this year we have the following key topics:

  • VoIP
    Our classic. As every year we are going to have the key players of the international VoIP community.
  • Databases
    Our old friends the relational databases are joint by their new buddies the NoSQL-Databases. That should worth a couple of good discussions about the best way to deal with data.
  • Ruby on Rails
    Ruby on Rails is just hot and we want to give you a chance to see the light. ;-)
  • Misc
    Stuff like "Open-Source", "Mobile Web", "World Peace" or "World Domination".

MMX Improvements

  • Limitation to 100 attendees.
    It has been a tough decission but we think that quality is more important than quantity. Everybody should have a fair chance to actually meet a speaker and talk to him. Networking always has been important to us.
  • An extra day
    This is an answer to 2009 feedback about the conference. We start at 15:00 on the first day (Friday) and finish at 15:00 on the 3rd day (Sunday). So everybody has an easier travel arrangement and we have a second night for sitting together and discussion world domination.
  • More Workshops.
  • More Variety
    We are going to invite speakers with all sorts of background and we want to mix things up a bit. Nobody wants to listen to some 50 talks about the same topic in a row (as interesting as the specific topic might be). Lean back and let us surprise you and be part of an open minded discussion about all sorts of technical topics.
  • All inclusive => Including a single hotelroom
    Of course the price with a group rate is much better than the single price. So we included the hotelroom into the ticket price. You just buy a ticket and you'll be all set.

Never change a running system

This is a conference about stuff we find interesting. We are not so much looking for Buzz-Word-Bingo-Talks but for exceptional topics and for very good speakers.

    The Radisson Hotel in Rostock has been such a great success with everybody in 2009 that we did choose it again for 2010.

    The conference is a mix of German and English.

Why is this conference so interesting for speakers?

A good conference depends heavily on excellent speakers and they are hard to get. We know that and therefor try to establish a good and relaxed working environment for everybody.

  • AMOOCON MMX provides everything in one building.
    You can leave to your room anytime to have a power nap or to read your e-mails. The conference is just a quick elevator trip away from your hotel room. And if you want to meet with other speakers: Meet them at the speakers lounge.
  • Food included.
    We always have plenty of food and softdrinks for everybody. In the speakers lounge you'll find fruits, sandwiches and cookies too.
  • Video, MP3 and PDFs of your talk.
    With your talk you reach the whole internet and not just the conference attendees. We are recording all talks and provide them on our webpage (including the PDF of your talk). For the English talks we provide transcripts for our friends at Google to make their life easier.
  • Links to you and your projekt.
    Of course we link to you, your company and your projekt.
